I/we the signatory/signatories (hereinafter referred to as the "surety/ies") to this agreement, other than
the student, hereby bind myself/ourselves as surety/sureties and co-principal debtor/s jointly and
severally for and with the student (the principal debtor) in solidum in favour of Dillion Training
International for the payment of all debts and due fulfilment of all obligations of whatever nature and
however arising which the student may now or hereafter owe to Dillion Training.
I, the undersigned, hereby apply/register as a student of Dillion Training International (Pty) Ltd
(hereinafter referred to as "Dillion"), subject to the following terms and conditions and do solely agree:
1. Tuition fees
1.1. I/we, the undersigned, hereby assume absolute responsibility for the payment of any fees that may
fall due as a result of my studies at Dillion on the appointed due dates as determined by Dillion from time
to time.
1.2. The terms of payment of Dillion are as follows:
1.2.1. The registration fee is payable upon registration and it is non-refundable.
1.2.2. The balance of the course fee is payable either in a once-off payment together with registration,
alternatively in weekly, bi-weekly or monthly instalments payable in advance on the stipulated day of each
month commencing on the first month of the program for which I have registered. I acknowledge that I am
liable for payment of the balance of the course fee and failure to pay in time may cause Dillion to pause
my studies until payment is made. I acknowledge that fees schedule as per Section B are guidelines and my
total fees is depended on the duration and the number of courses chosen by me.
1.2.3. I acknowledge that late payment of fees, non-attendance or absenteeism does not exonerate me from
paying the total course fee or monthly instalments.
1.2.4. All fees must be paid in full before the applicant/student will be permitted to do practical
and/or write any final assessment other than the safety introduction test.
1.2.5. All fees are payable into Dillion's bank account, the details of which will be provided to the
applicant/student upon request unless otherwise instructed ONLY by the Finance Manager to use a separate
account displayed in the office.
1.2.6. The student's name and surname are to be used as reference on all payments and a copy of the
deposit slip/proof of payment is to be emailed/sent via WhatsApp to the Accounts department, alternately
the relevant office at the Campus. It is the applicant/student's, alternatively his/her parent/guardian/
next-of-kin/spouse's responsibility to ensure that the Accounts department obtains proof of payment.
1.2.7. Fees can be made in the following ways: (1) Electronic funds transfer (EFT); (2) Cash deposit.
1.2.8. In respect of students not fulfilling their financial obligations on time and as prescribed,
Dillion retains the right: (a) not to allow the student to sit for the final examination/s; (b) to withhold
students' results or certificates; (c) to cancel students' registration after the specified dates and to
hold them liable for payment of the outstanding amounts as agreed upon and signed in the special
arrangement made with Dillion; (d) not to allow students to attend class if fees have not been paid in
full; (e) to institute legal action against students, who will be liable for all Dillion's legal costs.
2. Refunds
2.1. All money paid in respect of registration fees, books, student cards and uniform is strictly
non-refundable.
2.2. School fees refund will only be entertained according to Dillion's Cancellation Policy which will
be available to the applicant/student at registration or any time thereafter upon request.
2.3. No refunds shall be made once I start attending classes or within 5 days from the date of
registration.
2.4. In case of withdrawals being approved, a 50% of the amount paid, less the non-refundable
registration fee will be paid within 21 working days into a recognized financial bank institute in SA.
3. Cancellation of registration
3.1. All cancellations must be done in writing and forwarded to the relevant campus accounts
department, failure to do so will make you liable for full fees. The date of submission of the
cancellation form to the campus office is taken as the date of cancellation.
3.3. On cancellation: (i) Registration fee is non-refundable. (ii) Accommodation fee, Practical Transport
fee and Administration Fee is non-refundable. (iii) Modules/books, student card, t-shirt and uniforms are
non-refundable.
4. Non-transferability of Learner Fees
4.1. The learner acknowledges and understands that, in terms of the Dillion's Non-Transferability of
Learner Fees Policy, all fees paid by or on behalf of the learner are strictly linked to the registered
learner's registration as an individual learner. The learner also confirms that such fees may not be
transferred, ceded, assigned, donated, or reallocated to another learner under any circumstances.
4.2. The learner further acknowledge that the institute will not recognise any private or third-party
arrangements relating to the transfer of fees, and that any refunds, where applicable, will be processed
strictly in accordance with the Institution's Refund and Cancellation Policy.
5. Access to information
5.1. I accept, agree and understand that Dillion may keep and processes data and documents in electronic
and paper format, including the data supplied by me during application and registration, photos and any
other electronically distributed information. Dillion may use and transfer such data and use such
documents in electronic or other formats for its purposes. This includes but is not limited to the items
mentioned above.
6. General Terms
6.1. Dillion provides transport to and from practical grounds however, a transport fee as determined by
the Dillion Transport Department shall be paid. No practical shall be booked unless the transport fee is
paid. (Subject to current charges)
6.2. The learner pledges to be punctual for both theory and practical sessions and Dillion will not be
held liable for any failure to attend practical as a result of lateness for the session. The learner also
acquaint him/herself that all sessions are scheduled by the instructor at venues and times with due notice
to the learner.
6.3. It is the duty and responsibility of the Learner to provide their own Personal Protective Equipment
when attending practical.
6.4. On completion of the course as a successful learner, with all fees fully paid will be legible to
get a Certificate of Competency and a Competence Card. A recommendation letter is only given on request by
a company. None of the items mentioned here will be released unless all fees had been paid in full.
6.5. Dillion does not provide food and accommodation to learners for free unless the admissions director
has waivered it. If the practical is anywhere out of the campus' location. Should the learner prefer
Dillion to assist with any of these a fee is charged to the learner's account.
6.6. Accommodation: All Learners who will be coming outside and wish to study Engineering courses at our
Campuses will pay R1500 per month for accommodation and all Machinery students must pay R900 for the
duration of the training.
6.7. Dillion pledges to do its best in offering job assistance to its Learners, but do not guarantee
jobs. In our case we place you with various Labor Brokers and market you favorably.
